Knead Bakery

I wouldn't claim that Ojai is the ultimate culinary destination but that doesn't mean there aren't some gems in this cozy little town. While on a recent trip to Ojai, I was put on to Knead Bakery, a family owned business that specializes in baked goods! Upon entering this beautifully lit space, my senses were overtaken with the glorious smells of freshly baked breads, cookies, pastries, and bagels. 

They are open for breakfast and brunch (closing at 2pm), so keep in mind that the early bird catches the worm here. Knead focuses on locally sourced products, so if you're trying to get a taste of Ojai and its surrounding neighborhoods, this would be a great place to get acquainted. Think local citrus, Ojai olive groves, local strawberries – to name a few.
