I didn’t know what to expect when walking into the restrooms of Sketch London but my soul was activated when spotting the milky white egg-shaped space pods from the bottom of the curved staircase. It took a nanosecond for Alien, one of my favorite sci-fi films of all time, to come rushing to my brain. This was the closest I had come to being aboard the Nostromo on its journey back to Earth.
As I entered the chamber, the sounds of futuristic music whirled around me. The pod felt like a vertical deprivation tank, only this one came equipped with an outer galaxy soundtrack that sounded as if it were composed by Oneohtrix Point Never on this way to Pluto. I was momentarily transported to another dimension while relieving myself.
