Transmission LA at MOCA

This post first & foremost goes out to the amazing Roy Choi who hooked me up with some VIP bracelets for opening night of Transmission L.A. at MOCA. Dude, you rule! These photos will tell you everything, it was a night to remember filled with fun art, savory food, and good music. After sipping some Veuve Clicquot out of some very large glasses, I was ready to get the party started!

I was super pumped to see Santigold live, in fact, this was number one on my agenda that evening. For those of you who made it to the show, you might have caught me as one of the people pulled on to the stage to dance – that is correct! Santigold was even more beautiful than I imagined and her voice was incredible live; look forward to seeing her again. Needless to say, the evening was a hit. Chomping on some short rib & spicy pork tacos from the Kogi truck was the icing on the cake.

Mayyyyjor props go Mike D & Roy Choi, you’ve really created a unique experience in L.A.! I cannot wait to return to this 17-day extravaganza to taste the entire Papi Chulo menu, which I spotted over on Gastronomy Blog and to dance to Egyptian Lover (4/26). If you’re in L.A., get your ass down there.
