Tonight Warpaint is playing at Skybar, and I’m so looking forward to seeing them again.  Nothing makes me more happy then girls on guitar. I was a riot grrrl, what can I say? Major points that they’re from L.A. and have incredible style. Watch the video and I think you’ll know why I love them. Who cares is the lip-synching is totally bonkers, it adds to the charm.

Though it seems like they’re blowing up as we speak, they don’t want the “cool band” status. Drummer Stella Mozgawa said “We’re just dorks. I’d like to be a dork for as long as possible instead of being cool for like, a day.” Well, I’ve always loved dorks.
