L.A. Food Swap

Last weekend I participated in the very first installment of the L.A. Food Swap (link) held at Reform School in Silver Lake.  The food swap aims at bringing together friends and neighbors to share their homemade, homegrown and foraged creations.  Participants are encouraged to swap their delicious treats with other guests which results in taking home a basket full of new goodies and making connections with talented people from all over the city.

I’m sure you’re wondering what I brought to the table, no pun intended.  In tow was my lemon curd, tangerine & tangelo marmalade, and rosemary lemonade concentrate.  All of my treats were a hit and the curd practically vanished with the blink of an eye.  If you’re interested in trying my delicious treats, I’ll be participating in GOOD Magazine’s food swap “pop-up community” this Saturday (link).  And you just might see an online shop in the near future…

I met a great group of women and men whose specialties ranged from sprouted garbanzo beans to granola to lemoncello.  Everyone was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was filled with positive vibes and creativity.  I’m so grateful to have participated and to have connected with such fantastic people.  I cannot wait for the next event –  thank you Emily of L.A. food swap for having me!
