Please excuse my tardiness in posting my buñuelos recipe. Last week took me by surprise, filled with lots of events, preparation for my bay area visit and a major job interview. Seven days have never gone by so quickly! I want to thank (No Subject ) Los Angeles for inviting me to participate in their blogger DIY booth at Thread Show L.A. I had so much fun meeting new people and sharing with them one of my favorite holiday treats, the Mexican buñuelo.
My great grandmother used to make buñuelos but in a different form. It wasn’t until my freshman year in high school when I met an amazing man named Victor Garcia, my Spanish teacher, that I learned to make this beautiful creation. I’m so glad that we’re in contact after all these years and that he was kind enough to share with me his recipe and cooking advice. Everyone who joined me at the booth at Thread had a chance to create their own buñuelo, and I was impressed at how skilled the crowd was. More importantly, we all had a great time, having friendly conversations and eating a delicious treat.
