As you might already know, I hosted a Succulent Potting workshop this weekend at The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. I was honored to be selected by (No Subject) to be one of the experts in their two-day Create+Cultivate workshop series. Prepping for the event was really fun as I invited my mother to join me while I hit all of our favorite succulent spots, including the so-neccessary California Cactus Center in Pasadena. We had a blast looking through incredible selections of succulents, cacti, and ground coverings. After much browsing Home Depot became my one stop shop for my planting needs. Having to prep for 20+ attendees meant I needed lots of cactus soil, potting soil, rocks, pots and a large variety of succulents; for my budget, they were just right.
The women (and one really cool dude) who attended my workshop were all super excited to get their hands dirty and to create something of their very own. Nothing beats helping a group realize their love for succulents and letting them know that if they treat it right, it will always be there for them. Positive energy was all around! I loved seeing it all come together and helping the workshop folk with whatever succulent question they had. The experience was very rewarding, as I had the opportunity to share my long time love for succulents and made a lot of new friends in the process. Thank you to everyone who participated. I had so much fun and loved seeing all of you create something beautiful!
Here are some of their stunning creations. D.I.Y post to come!
